When temperatures soared to a balmy 24 degrees in Hampshire last Saturday, the bride and groom, Charlotte and Tom, knew they had hit the wedding jackpot. With the sun beaming down and bright blue skies stretching as far as the eye could see, their decision to opt for a fully outdoor wedding felt like serendipity.
Embracing their shared love of music and all things boho, Charlotte and Tom envisioned a wedding that would be as unique as their love story. And, thus, their festival-style celebration was born—a playful theme that allowed them to infuse every aspect of their special day with their own personal flair.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of a farm adorned with tipi tents, Charlotte and Tom’s wedding was a sight to behold. From a giant neon sign beckoning guests to strike a pose to hand-painted signposts guiding them on their journey, every detail was thoughtfully curated to reflect the couple’s vibrant personalities.
Eschewing traditional dining tables and chairs, the tipi tents were transformed into cosy havens with low-to-the-ground wooden tables surrounded by eclectic cushions and plush rugs—an invitation for guests to kick off their shoes and get comfortable.
And what’s a festival without delicious food and funky drinks? Charlotte and Tom spared no expense in ensuring their guests were well-fed and hydrated throughout the festivities. While a VW Campervan cocktail bar served up refreshing beverages, Hog Roast Whitchurch took charge of tantalising taste buds with our Southern Slow Roast Menu.
Under the expert guidance of Hog Roast Whitchurch’s head chef Ollie, our caterers dished out tender BBQ pork butt, Cajun spiced whole roast chickens, and fall-off-the-bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs. For vegan guests, our pulled jackfruit rolls provided a drool-worthy alternative. And for the sides? Memphis-style crunchy coleslaw, ultra-cheesy mac and cheese, mixed sweet potato and regular fries, and an array of freshly baked bread rolls and wraps, all complemented by a selection of delectable condiments and dips.
As guests indulged in Hog Roast Whitchurch’s irresistible spread, they were treated to live music from an indie band, had their faces painted by hired artists, and partook in garden games galore. It was a day filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories—a true reflection of Charlotte and Tom’s one-of-a-kind romance!
