We at Spitting Pig Hampshire upon taking the booking of each event ensure that our customers will be happy on the completion of the function putting a pen to paper and writing a few words about the service they have received for their event. This ensures that we can monitor our selves and maintain the high standards of service which we provide each and every week to each and every customer both large and small. We then publish this information at the end of the year so future customers are able to view how other people have perceived our standard of service.

Raffa, our chef, was professional yet super friendly and even gave us a little bit of background into hog roasting and the processes which was great! He also set everything up quickly and served with a smile which everyone loved!  The food was second to none as well. Orione Care hosted a garden party in May this year where the Spitting Pig provided the catering. In spite of the name they provided a range of foods to meet all needs, vegan, vegetarian, non-pork eaters and an excellent addition of supplementary breads and vegetables to ensure a healthy, mixed diet.

The desserts didn’t disappoint either.

The catering cooked on site, served at the table, cleared away afterwards and all in a hygienic and safe manner.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this team of professional and friendly caterers to anyone faced with entertaining a large number of guests.

September 15th was an overwhelming success. Thank you. We were served by a very professional team who established the cooking and serving areas with no disruption. They were a friendly and knowledgeable team who clearly had a lot of experience with this type of event.

The food was wonderful and we have had many appreciative comments in the few days following the event.

As the cooking came to a close the team worked in a very co-ordinated way packing up all of the equipment quickly and efficiently without any disruption to the event which continued around them. In all honesty it seemed as though they were just spirited away.

We book The Spitting Pig company for our recent wedding- we chose them based on their friendly, prompt and informative correspondence as well as their flexibility with dietary requirements, of which our guests had quite a few. The price for the amount and range of food available was also extremely reasonable.

On the day, two chefs turned up to cook, lay tables and serve the food- one of whom was Rachael who had been extremely helpful in arranging dietary needs in the run up to the wedding. We had many compliments about the amount of food and how tasty everything was. Our chefs then cut up the remaining meat and left it with us as we requested. They left shortly after without leaving a trace.

We would not hesitate to recommend Spitting Pig to others or to book them again in the future. Thank you for helping our wedding day to run smoothly!

I would like to thank Lee our chef for his professionalism, and spot on timing which was very important to us as our production workers have a set a lunch time, and this was met perfectly. The food was plentiful and served quickly, and everybody enjoyed the hog roast very much.

Other than that, this was our second time using Spitting Pig and no doubt will use again when the occasion arises.

Rachel and her colleague (sorry I didn’t get her name) did a truly brilliant job, the hog roast was cooked to perfection with some colleagues having seconds and thirds!!

We were really pleased with the event, thank you.

Spitting pig arrived earlier than arranged and had already set up when I got there. They had anticipated my needs and set up in the exact spot in the field that I wanted them to which was great.

They were very professional and polite. They answered all my questions about the pigs cooking process and were very knowledgeable. They even saved me some of the best bits of meat and crackling as they could see I was busy organising the sports games.

Our staff were full of good comments about the food, saying it was very tasty and plenty to go around, one employee even went back for thirds

The site was left very clean at the end of the event. Nothing but praise for them.

We had a fantastic party, made all the better by your team (Olly and Adam). They were a great team, well organised, very friendly and superb chefs.  They also helped us set the party up, constantly offering help and more to the point entertained our 3 young children, who adored them and were in fits of laughter with them all day.

Rachel and her team were wonderful. We had a large proportion of children and vegetarians and she was very helpful in designing a menu that suited all our guests. The food was delicious and I lost track of how many people said it was the best crackling they ever had!.

We were worried that we’d have loads of leftovers as a number of people dropped out late… but I was surprised to see very little left. It seems that quite a few of the guests went back for seconds and thirds 🙂

Will definitely be recommending the Spitting Pig to friends.

Rachel was an absolute star from start to finish.  She offered helpful ideas and suggestions during the planning phase, when I was completely flummoxed. Whatever I threw at her, she was able to come up with a plan and sort everything for me.

On the day she was impeccably presented in smart chefs whites and set herself up quickly and efficiently with the most delicious food served bang on time.  All the party guests commented on how delicious it was with most going back for second or third helpings.

As promised, at the end she cleared everything away for me – you wouldn’t have even known she’d been there.

From the moment we got in contact with you, all those months before, to the day after our wedding, when you were having to deal with the aftermath of the party, you were super organised, friendly and a pleasure to do business with! The beef was absolutely delicious and we continued to enjoy the cold cuts for lunch the day after the wedding. The canapes and salads were imaginative and tasty and the waiters and waitresses attended to our every need, including the two bar staff that stayed on until 2am! Once again many thanks for your superb contribution to our Golden Wedding Anniversary celebrations. The freshly cooked and delicious canapés provided a delightful start to the proceedings. The Hog Roast was, of course, the highlight – beautifully cooked and much appreciated by all our guests. The range and quality of the freshly prepared salads were most impressive and the desserts were greatly enjoyed by all. The availability of tea and coffee after the meal and throughout the evening was a great addition. We have had so many comments from our guests regarding the high quality and presentation of the entire meal.

It was a pleasure to meet your team of very professional chefs and waiters who were a delight to have in our home. Their cheerfulness and willingness to please throughout the pressures of preparing and producing a meal for seventy people from scratch was quite outstanding.
