From mindfulness workshops and soothing spas, to extravagant function rooms that look as though they have been plucked straight from a fairytale; Chewton Glen Hotel and Spa has everything you could want or need to turn any event into a special occasion, and after taking home the title of the country’s ”Best for Romance” hotel at the 37th annual Condé Nast Johansens awards ceremony earlier in the month, a celebration was most definitely in order for the staff! We all know of course, that the most important part of any celebration is the food, and having previously wowed them with one of our gorgeous menus, Georgia called up the Hog Roast Highcliffe customer service team to organise their second event with us.
Knowing that our clients loved our service so much that they couldn’t wait to place another booking is something we at Hog Roast Highcliffe never tire of, and this time around the client opted for our classic hog roast feast with additional side options to feed their 85 guests. With catering extraordinaire’s Raffa and Ana placed in charge of organising the event, Georgia felt immediately at ease and as the big day neared, everyone at the hotel was buzzing with excitement to see what our catering team would deliver them this time.
Using only the finest ingredients from award-winning British farms, Hog Roast Highcliffe created a show-stopping display of whole roasted pig with applesauce, stuffing and crispy crackling; rosemary seasoned spring lamb with a sprig of mint and a mustard and dill sauce, and locally-sourced free-range chickens which were served on our eco-friendly wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery. As well as the scrumptious meats, the catering team had also prepared a selection of handmade grilled vegetable skewers with the added option of haloumi along with generous platters of crunchy coleslaw, freshly tossed mixed salad and an array of gluten-free rolls and wraps.
Georgia and the guests were speechless when they were finally presented with the feast that they had been anticipating all day, and they certainly weren’t left feeling disappointed when they took their first bite which had them coming back for more!
