WOW… The new slow roast menu is just getting better and better with the addition this year of slow roasted lamb.
Our hungry eaters this weekend were in Upper Chute and were ‘amazed’ with the depth of flavour of the lamb which we coated in Eastern spices and cooked for 9 hours. The slow cooked lamb complemented the pulled pork in BBQ sauce and crunchy coleslaw salads perfectly.
High praise indeed from one of our guests at a surprise 40th Birthday party who was a local butcher from Upper Chute who has booked us to cater for his wife’s birthday in June!
Here at Spitting Pig Hampshire we have seen an increase in the popularity of the Southern Slow Roast Menu over the last year, it is very flexible in serving as it offers a flavorsome alternative to a traditional Hog Roast, which although still very popular is slowly giving way to pork, beef and lamb coated with our secret rubs and roasted in our traditional ovens.
As the weather changes in Upper Chute and the sun pokes his head through the dark clouds we really are smiling knowing that this year is going to be the best so far in Hampshire with the our new dynamic menu’s.
