We were miles from home on Sunday and had to set off really early a little over cast not knowing what the day would bring in Fair Oak we were so pleased that we were catering indoors. As we drove along the motor way we could only imagine what the venue would be like we were heading for a castle a converted castle in Fair Oak that hires out rooms to people for events and we were intrigued to see what the venue would be like. Hog Roast were making a three course luncheon and the party was for a ladies 60th birthday and family and friends really wanted to have a nice day for her and in her early years she used to be a curator in a castle and thought it would be nice to host a party in one, we didn’t have long to wait and we were blown away as we drove up the gates the place was amazing! We were greeted by the lady her self who had been there for the past hour having a good look around and she was loving the day already, we set about preparing the food and we firstly got the chickens and lamb onto cook once the meat was cooking we could begin the rest, Our waitresses started to set the tables and the cooks began to prepare the courses, first course was soup, home made infact we got up at five and made the sop from scratch at home and all we had to do was reheat, for main it was chicken or lamb with stuffing and mint sauce, creamed potatoes, spinach, peas and carrots with gravy made fresh using the juices of the meats. Hog Roast hire made some delicious fresh fruit salad which was a mixture of lovely fruits and berries colourful and delicious soon it was taste time! Everyone took to their seats ad our wonderful smart waiting staff served the dishes one by one and made sure all the guests were happy the food was such a hit and after everyone had ate we wished the lady a fabulous birthday and she thanked us so mu
