Here in the UK, welcome dinners are becoming a must-have addition to wedding celebrations. Recently, Christie and Jordan chose Hog Roast Neatham for their welcome dinner catering, and it was an absolute pleasure to be part of their pre-wedding festivities!
The couple chose a swanky hotel function hall close to their wedding venue for their guests’ convenience, and our catering manager, Ollie, was there to help them every step of the way. Ollie’s knack for understanding their vision led them straight to our Alfresco Menu—a perfect blend of laid-back charm and refined flavours.
With early access to the venue, Hog Roast Neatham had plenty of time to work our culinary magic. A succulent hog roast was expertly prepared by Ollie with a sage and onion stuffing that sizzled and crisped to perfection. As the aromas filled the air, our team crafted a flavourful selection of sides, comprising a vibrant heritage tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad, crisp seasonal leaves tossed with bell peppers, creamy coleslaw, and buttery new potatoes. For our non-meat-eating guests, we also whipped up grilled vegetable kebabs with halloumi chunks.
As well as these, we presented Italian charcuterie boards featuring a colourful mix of deli meats, rich cheeses, artisanal breads, and dressings. These bamboo platters adorned each table, adding a touch of luxury to the feast.
As guests arrived, they were greeted with flutes of champagne, sparking off the evening’s festivities in style. Laughter filled the air as everyone savoured the diverse flavours and textures on offer. From the hog roast’s smoky richness to the delightful sweetness of the desserts, every bite was a testament to our dedication to culinary excellence.
