The Hog Roast Guildford team, led by Catering Manager Olly, were delighted to cater for Sarah’s 50th birthday celebration at her home on Pimms Close in Guildford. Sixty guests gathered to mark this special milestone with a relaxed and delicious evening feast — full of laughter, warmth, and perfectly cooked food.
The star of the night was, of course, the whole roasted pig — slow-cooked until tender, with golden, crunchy crackling that had everyone coming back for seconds. Guests tucked into sage and onion stuffing and sweet apple sauce, all served with soft bread rolls and wraps, including gluten-free options on request.
A colourful spread of sides complemented the main perfectly — tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed salad, and homemade coleslaw, all freshly prepared and beautifully presented. For the potato choice, Sarah opted for our crowd-favourite chips and sweet potato fries, served hot and crispy with a selection of sauces, salt, and vinegar.
Our vegetarian and vegan guests were treated to grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers (without halloumi for vegan guests), served with wraps and both tzatziki and sweet chilli sauce — packed with flavour and freshness.
Everything was served buffet style on wooden disposable crockery, keeping the evening relaxed and easy-going while still feeling special. The guests enjoyed helping themselves, chatting, and sharing stories as they filled their plates.
It was a brilliant night all around — filled with smiles, good food, and a lovely family atmosphere. The Hog Roast Guildford team were honoured to help Sarah and her friends celebrate such a fantastic milestone in style.
