This past weekend, Hog Roast Chilcomb had the privilege of catering for Amanda’s long-awaited family reunion, a gathering that exemplified the joy and fulfilment that comes from reconnecting with loved ones. After months of meticulous planning and coordinating around everyone’s busy schedules, 45 family members—plus a few furry friends—came together at a caravan site in Hampshire for a much-needed break.
The weekend was packed with fun activities, including archery, axe-throwing, and crazy golf. But the highlight was yet to come because, little did they know, Amanda had organised something special!
On the final day of their get-together, Amanda had a surprise in store to wrap up their time together in style. As the clock struck 5 pm, the family was led to the on-site events space where they were greeted with the unmistakable aroma of a hog roast. Guests eagerly collected their plates and queued for Ollie’s legendary hog roast rolls, complete with stuffing and applesauce. To complement the roast, we served a variety of sides including a vibrant seasonal mixed salad, gourmet coleslaw, tomato and mozzarella salad, and a choice of sweet potato and traditional fries. The spread was designed to cater to all tastes, and it did not disappoint. Both the human and canine guests relished every bite!
