Spitting Pig

Two Celebrations, One Unmissable Hog Roast Hersham Hog Roast!

Hog Roast HampshireHog Roast Hersham got to be part of something extra special recently, a party where the occasion was, quite literally, doubling up. Our client wasn’t just celebrating a birthday, which as we all know, is always cause enough for a proper fuss, but they’d also just moved into a new home and wanted to mark the occasion surrounded by the people who mattered most.

Once the guest list hit 50 names, it became fairly obvious that a plate of sandwiches and a bowl of crisps wasn’t going to cut it. So they picked up the phone and asked Hog Roast Hersham to bring out our signature hog roast spread instead.

Before we get into it, there’s a reason our hog roasts have the reputation they do. Hog Roast Hersham takes everything historically epic about slow-roasted pigs and brings it firmly into the present using nothing but free-range, high-quality ingredients sourced from local farms and markets – then cooking it all on-site with our powerful stainless steel grills. It’s part of what sets us apart, and honestly, guests love watching it happen just as much as they love eating the result. There’s something about that skin turning golden, the smell drifting across the garden, that pulls people in before we’ve even started carving. We usually spot a few phones coming out for photos too.

Hog Roast HampshireFor this particular double celebration, a hog roast ticked every box going. Served with savoury sage and onion stuffing, crackling, homemade applesauce and soft buns, guests could build generously stuffed sandwiches or opt for a fuller plate with mixed salad and coleslaw on the side. Our veggie and vegan guests weren’t forgotten either, with vegan pulled jackfruit sliders soaked in a smoky-sweet hickory sauce giving them something just as good to tuck into.

The food went down brilliantly and the compliments kept rolling in well into the evening. As for the client, they couldn’t have been more grateful for how effortlessly the whole thing came together – once again, Hog Roast Hersham turned what could’ve been a stressful double celebration into a genuinely great day.
