James and Vanessa met while on holiday in Spain and were amazed to find out that they lived in the same Hampshire town back home! 5 years later, their relationship had developed wonderfully, and the couple had given birth to a beautiful baby girl. Recently, the couple got engaged and were looking for a fun way to announce the development to their family and friends. The couple contacted our catering manager Nick to discuss possible catering options for their engagement party. After a discussion, it was decided that our Southern Slow Roast would be an ideal choice. This is a menu that is packed full of warming and comforting flavours, as well as something for everyone to enjoy.
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Medstead team arrived early to begin preparing the main dishes. This menu included whole-roasted chicken, Texas 24-hour beef brisket, and a BBQ pork butt, as well vegetable and halloumi skewers for the meat-free guests. The main dishes are served with a selection of secret recipe sauces and marinades for maximum flavour! Alongside the mains, we also prepared crunchy coleslaw, seasonal vegetables, mac and cheese, and roasted baby new potatoes.
