Hog Roast TitchfieldSpend enough time in the wedding world and patterns start to emerge. The venue stress, the seating chart drama, the cousin who RSVPs late. But one thing that never follows a pattern? The couples themselves. Every pair brings something different to the table – their own story, their own style, their own idea of what a perfect day looks like.

So why on earth would the food be one-size-fits-all?

It wouldn’t. Not at Hog Roast Titchfield, anyway. Flexibility has been baked into the way we work from the very start – over thirty years of building menus around couples rather than the other way around. Got a vision that doesn’t fit neatly into one menu? Good. Let’s talk.

That’s precisely what happened with a recent wedding we catered for. Around 70 guests, a couple who knew what they wanted and a brief that pulled from two different menus. Rather than a problem, that felt like an opportunity for Hog Roast Titchfield to do what we do best.

Canapés opened proceedings while everyone found their feet after the ceremony. Bite-sized fillet of beef with mini Yorkshire puddings and horseradish cream, gourmet sausages carrying a honey-mustard warmth, beer-battered fish and chips with tartare sauce and roasted duck spring rolls with sweet chilli dip. Nothing stuffy, nothing overcomplicated – just genuinely lovely food that got people talking and kept the energy going.

When it came to the main, the couple had their hearts set on something with a bit of soul – and the Southern Slow Roast menu delivered exactly that. Texan beef brisket with serious depth, Cajun-spiced roast chickens and sticky Louisiana pork ribs that practically fell apart at a glance. Three sauces alongside – smoky BBQ, hickory bourbon and a Cajun pepper sauce that sorted out the heat-seekers – meant everyone could make it their own.

Our extras covered all bases too. Veggie kebabs with halloumi and tzatziki, corn cobettes, mac and cheese, sweet potato fries, classic fries. Let’s just say nobody hovered near the buffet table looking lost.

The couple said afterwards that the food felt exactly like them – and honestly, that’s the best compliment Hog Roast Titchfield can get. Not just that it tasted great, but that it actually fit.

That’s what happens when catering actually listens. The whole day clicks into place.
